    Al Wabel receives Singaporean Ambassador and discusses launching an exhibition of most importantindustries

     

    Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel discussed trade delegations with Singapora  and launching more exhibitions of the most important industries during his meeting with the Ambassador of Singapore Wong Kook Bonn on Tuesday, 22 March, 2011 at the Chamber.
     
    Al Wabel emphasized the deep relation between the Kingdom and Singapore, pointing out that it is considered as one of the most important economic and financial centers of the world.

    He also noted that the kingdom have deep economic and trade ties with Singapore which  made Singapore one of the major trading partners with the kingdom which resulted in the establishment of Saudi-Singapore Business Council..
     
    And in regard of trade exchange between the two countries said Al Wabel that Kingdom has  issued a variety of goods to Singapore, where the exported volume by Saudi Arabia to Singapore has reached 18 714 thousand tons in 2009, representing 4.8 percent of the volume of Saudi exports to the world in the same year.

    For his part, Bonn assured that Singapore is keen to strengthen trade relations between the two countries and establish trade bridges of commercial exchange with delegations and exhibitions that reflect the evolution in the industry in the two countries and open a wide scope to hold economic and trade partnerships between businessmen in both countries.
     
    Noting that one of the most important factors that helped Singapore to strengthen its position as one of the most important centers of global capital of trade agreements between them and the 150 countries around the world.
     
    He also spoke about the power of political and trade relations between the two countries reflected by the value of Singapore's exports to the Kingdom, which mainly includes: Oil, drilling platforms floating or submersible, ships, hydrocarbons,and  Tap tools, as the import volume by the Kingdom  from Singapore amounted 114 thousand tons in 2009, representing 0.23 percent of the imported volume of the Kingdom to the world in the same year.
